DFM manufacturability introduction and analysis

1. What is DFM?

Baidu has a definition, screenshots, specific can see the following figure. Here I use my own words to express that DFM manufacturability analysis is actually a bridge between R&D and production. Through communication between the two, product design can be simplified, optimized and improved to produce better products with lower cost.

DFM manufacturability analysis is to consider manufacturability from the beginning of product development and design, so as to make a close connection between design and manufacturing, and achieve a successful purpose from design to manufacturing.

Specific cases are as follows:

• There is an opportunity for appropriate component replacement to improve component quality or reduce cost while meeting original requirements
